Project overview
The Wilton Centre, one of the UK’s largest research and development sites, is home to cutting-edge office and lab spaces supporting businesses in the circular economy, life sciences, sustainable processing, and manufacturing technology. As part of The Pioneer Group, a leading science and technology park operator, The Wilton Centre partnered with Roam to implement bespoke EV charging solutions, enhancing sustainability efforts and reducing its carbon footprint.
Following an initial consultation and site survey, Roam installed twenty 22kW dual-outlet chargers, providing 40 EV charging bays, 20 of which are set to be installed in the future, in the centre’s car park. This fully funded solution includes ongoing maintenance and management of the chargers at no cost to The Wilton Centre, along with a profit share model, generating additional revenue as users access the charging facilities.
The installation marks a significant step towards creating a greener workspace by making EV charging more accessible. By offering this key amenity, The Wilton Centre enhances its appeal to eco-conscious businesses and employees, reflecting its commitment to sustainability and innovation in the electric era.
