Project overview
Granite House, located in Watermead Business Park, North Leicester, is a modern office space with 150 parking spaces, 20 of which now offer accessible EV charging facilities. Recognising the growing need for workplace charging, Granite House partnered with Roam to deliver a tailored EV charging solution.
After an initial consultation and site survey, Roam identified that 10 dual-socket 22kW chargers would be ideal for the location. These chargers provide fast and reliable charging, making them perfect for office environments where users spend extended periods during the workday.
To future-proof the site, Roam also installed infrastructure for an additional 20 bays, allowing for a seamless expansion of charging facilities as demand grows, all while minimising disruption to the site.
Having EV chargers on-site has become a valuable employee benefit, especially as more people make the switch to electric vehicles, and not everyone has the option to charge at home. By providing this amenity, Granite House demonstrates its commitment to being a forward-thinking business that prioritises the needs of its employees and visitors, as well as its environmental responsibilities.
Granite House now accommodates EV-driving employees and visitors with ease, while Roam manages and maintains the chargers, ensuring a smooth and reliable experience for all users.
